We are looking for mature, enthusiastic, hardworking and caring individuals who role model the principles of Honesty, Caring, Respect and Responsibility in their thoughts, words and actions, to be a member of the Sherman Lake Y Summer Camp team. Staff Performance Objectives:
Make intentional connections with each camper in assigned group.
To participate 100% in activities; enjoy playing and role modeling.
To model the values and mission statement of Sherman Lake YMCA.
To recognize and effectively resolve conflicts based on camp values and procedures.
To seek out and use camp resources to create meaningful experiences.
To work proactively with campers to ensure success and encourage creativity and good character.
To create a safe environment and create unique experiences.
How to Apply:
Complete the staff application found HERE. For summer camp positions, hiring decisions will be made on a rolling basis. The sooner you choose to apply, the greater the number of positions that will be available.
You will receive a confirmation email that your application has been submitted, and a link to set up an interview with one of our Directors.
The 4 references (3 professional, 1 personal) that you provide will automatically be emailed a form to complete to help us get to know you a bit more.
Benefits:
Weekly stipend pay - counselor rate begins at $350 a week with pay bumps for certifications, years of experience, and additional responsibilities
Food and lodging (overnight staff only).
Bonuses - earn up to $500 for every friend you recruit that also joins the team!
Certifications - various certifications are provided for you at no cost, such as First Aid/CPR and Lifeguarding.
Access to mental health supports with the Y EAP and Dear Scout.
