Child Watch Job Description

Under the supervision of the Member Services Director, the responsibility of the Child Watch Specialists is to create a high-quality child watch atmosphere that truly serves the needs of our community.  All aspects of the Child Watch Program will reinforce our four core principles of Honesty, Caring, Respect, and Responsibility. The Child Watch specialist is responsible for maintaining the highest safety standards in every aspect of the Child Watch Program.  The Child Watch specialist will carry out his/her responsibilities in accordance with established operating policies and procedures of the YMCA, ACA, and county, state, and federal agencies.

The Child Watch specialist is responsible for:

  • Supervising the play activities for 3 – 10 children.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work with all people. 

  • Good interpersonal skills and willingness to be a team player.
