Barre is a fitness discipline combining several elements. Ballet, pilates, yoga and functional training. Each class is filled with challenging movements such as isometric strength training and high reps for small range-of-motion movements. Your instructor may also incorporate light hand weights and other props for added resistance. Barre is meant to tone, lengthen, invigorate and inspire. Don't wait. Join us at the BARRE!

BODYCOMBAT™ is the Les Mills program where you'll punch and kick your way to fitness, burning up to 740 calories along the way. This high-energy martial-arts inspired workout is totally non-contact and there are no complex moves to master. A Les Mills instructor will challenge you to up the intensity and motivate you to make the most of every round. You'll release stress, have a blast and feel like a champ.

BODYFLOW™ is the Les Mills yoga-based class that will improve your mind, body and life and is ideal for anyone and everyone. During BODYFLOW, an inspired soundtrack plays as you bend and stretch through a series of simple yoga moves and embrace elements of Tai Chi and Pilates. Breathing control is a part of all the exercises, and your Les Mills instructor will always provide options for those just getting started. You'll strengthen your entire body and leave the class feeling calm and centered. Happy.

Gentle Aqua Stretch is designed for individuals to move and stretch with the use of the water. Each participant will be able to work at their own pace. The water temp does vary although we try to keep it around 83 – 85 degrees. This class is conducted in the shallow end of pool.

Gentle Strength & Stretch is the class where participants enjoy gentle strength and stretch movements using handheld weights, a yoga strap, and a squishy ball. Both seated and standing movements will increase your flexibility, strength and balance. Gentle Strength and Stretch encourages feelings of success as you work within your own physical strengths and limitations. Come ready to work and have a bit of lighthearted fun while doing so.

Gentle Yoga focuses on a kinder approach to asana, moving through the poses in a mindful manner. Each class begins with warming the muscles, moving through a series of poses with slower, mindful stretching to energize the entire body, and ending with savasana, a relaxation. Balance, strength and flexibility will improve as one continues with the practice. Various modifications for the poses will be offered to meet the needs of each student. Working within the participant's own body with safety in mind is stressed. Breath work, or pranayama, is integrated throughout each session.

High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) is the workout that has the potential to torch maximum calories in a minimum amount of time. Short periods of all-out workout followed by short periods of active rest makes the body work harder than it does in steady-state cardio. Though this class sounds intense, it can be modified for everyone. If you're looking to improve your fitness, HIIT is for you!

Pilates Mat Classes: (Intro, Intermediate & Advanced) Joseph Pilates developed his mat work over 80 years ago. Certified instructors follow the original method to lengthen and strengthen the powerhouse (core) of the body, emphasis on abdominal strengthening and spine stabilization.

REFIT® combines several elements of fitness into one power-packed hour. While the focus is structured around Cardio Dance movements, toning and flexibility, strength training and stretching are also incorporated into the REFIT workout. The workout formula is easy to follow and will challenge both fitness enthusiasts and welcome beginners.

Ride & Roll is the 50 minute group cycling and foam rolling class that combines the best of cardiovascular training and muscular recovery. After a vigorous 30 minute cycling workout, participants will transition into the Markham Room for an instructor-led myofascial release using foam rollers.

Spin, Core & More is a total body workout beginning with 30 minutes of spinning to energize your legs and rev up your metabolism. This will be followed with 30 minutes of a core workout (no sit-ups here) combined with total body stretching.

Spinning classes using StarTrac Spinning Bikes. These fun classes will burn calories, and tone muscles of the lower body. Instructors lead you through a visualized ride, and help you get the most out of your workout!

 

Strength & Stretch is the class for you if you are looking for a 45 minute class that will burn calories, strengthen your whole body and leave you stretched and cooled down. Perfect for beginners as well as those who are looking to increase strength and flexibility, this class will be just what you need to build a healthy lifestyle.

Total Body Workout is a total body, multi-joint, functional movement workout that is worth getting up early for! It increases overall strength and flexibility and builds muscle in an easy-to-follow format.

TRX: Suspension Training is a method of leveraged bodyweight exercises that build power, strength, flexibility, balance, mobility and prevents injuries, all at the intensity level you choose.

Water Aerobics: The class consists of a aerobic level workout followed by the use of resistance tools to tone and define muscles. Great low impact workout. Some classes may be designated as Water Boot Camp. These classes will be more intense and involve lap swimming and anaerobic work.

Y Weights is the 30 minute strength class for everyone. Using various modes such as weights, tubes, Bosu balls, steps and mats, every muscle group is targeted in just 30 minutes. Options are available for the health seeker as well as the seasoned athlete and everything in between.

Yoga Increase your range of motion and flexibility with this introduction to traditional yoga class. Poses will be modified based on the ability of each student. Meditation, breathing exercises and restorative postures will help relieve stress.

Yogafit: is an advanced yoga class that combines the relaxation of yoga with strength training and cardio fat burning. It builds endurance, strengthens the core, and relaxes the mind.
