Sherman Lake YMCA CommUNITY Prayer Breakfast

  • Sherman Lake YMCA 6225 North 39th Street Augusta, MI, 49012 United States (map)

In the tradition of the National Prayer Breakfast, the Sherman Lake YMCA CommUNITY Prayer Breakfast was conceived to unite people of faith.

2018 Speakers:
Keynote Speaker: West Michigan Teen Challenge
This I Believe: Rev. John Booko
Prayer for Community, State, Nation and World: Rev. John Boyd

We're happy to welcome Western Michigan Teen Challenge as our keynote speaker for this year's event. Located in Muskegon, Michigan, Western Michigan Teen Challenge was founded in 1970 to help troubled and hurting individuals struggling with addiction and alcohol. Over the years, the program has helped thousands of adults overcome their life-controlling problems and become productive citizens in society.

The Prayer Breakfast is a way to remind ourselves that no matter the color of our skin, the neighborhood in which we live, the work we have chosen or the religious beliefs we hold, it is decency, civility, and mutual respect that must unite us. By holding these values, we can truly have a global community.

Everyone is welcome at the Sherman Lake YMCA CommUNITY Prayer Breakfast.
