Integrated Education Instructor
Integrated Education Instructor/Counselor – helping schools transform by bringing character development lessons learned at camp back to the classroom (Camp to Classroom). Integrated Education Instructors will facilitate experiential and character based curriculum for local area schools throughout our 3-5 day residential programs. Applicants must be 18 years or older, available Monday through Friday, days and overnights.
Summer Camp Staff
We are looking for mature, enthusiastic, hardworking and caring individuals who role model the principles of Honesty, Caring, Respect and Responsibility in words and actions, to be a member of the Sherman Lake camp team. We hire seasonal summer camp staff for Overnight Camp, Summer Camp Program Areas & Support Staff, Day Camp, and our High School Leadership Development Program.
The Lifeguard is responsible for guarding the aquatic facility and/or aquatic activities to secure the safety of pool occupants and program participants. The Lifeguard will ensure a safe, fun area for children and adults to interact and enjoy. This position requires early morning, evening, and weekend responsibilities.
Program Coordinator - Recreation Center
Under the supervision of the Membership Services Director, the responsibility of the Program Coordinator is to develop and oversee all aspects of a high-quality youth development program that serves the needs of our community and the SLYMCA constituency. Additionally, the Program Coordinator will be responsible for the management of aquatic staff and programming at SLYMCA.
Under the direction of the Facilities Manager, the Facilities Worker, in accordance with the operating policies of the Sherman Lake YMCA Outdoor Center, administers the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the site and facilities.
The Swim Instructor is responsible for conducting swimming instruction that will ensure a safe, fun area for children and adults to interact and enjoy. This position may involve morning, evening, and weekend responsibilities. Schedule may include up to 6 hours per week teaching group lessons and a varied number of hours teaching private lessons.
