Shermanator 2011
IMPORTANT: For Detailed Information and on-line Registration: http://www.shermanatortri.org/page2.html
Join this area event and help change the lives of more than 700 Kalamazoo and Calhoun County Residents.
Annually, more than 500 participants, beginner to competitive athletes, take part in the Shermanator Triathlon & 5K Run/Walk, a USAT sanctioned event. Enjoy the adrenaline rush of crossing the finish line and reaching your goal!
This event raises scholarship funds to benefit area community members in need. Funds raised will help an anticipated 700+ local community children and families in 2011. These community members receive the opportunity to experience programs that will allow them to become stronger in spirit, mind, and body.
Sherman Lake YMCA builds strong kids, strong families, and strong communities in Southwest Michigan through programs such as summer camp, YMCA wellness, retreats, and Character Development school programs.
Net proceeds of the Shermanator benefit the Sherman Lake YMCA Annual Campaign for Scholarships. The Sherman Lake YMCA Outdoor Center is a 501(c)3 organization.
Here are ways you can join in!
- Register for the triathlon or 5K Run/Walk. Put a team together for the sprint triathlon as a 2 or 3 person relay team
- Volunteer
- Donate and help reach our local community families in need. Ask family, friends, and co-workers to sponsor you.
