We had a great time with Portage Central 5thgraders! They impressed us with their honesty, caring, respect, and responsibility as they took on some of the awesome activities that happen every week here at Sherman Lake!
We focused on setting good goals at climbing. Campers took to the ropes amidst the cheers of their fellow classmates. We saw all sorts of great characteristics exhibited like courage, boldness, initiative, encouragement, and enthusiasm. Keep that up, Portage Central, and you’ll find success in every part of your lives!
Despite the massive snowfall, we still managed to take a whack at firebuilding. The wind and snow didn’t stop the pursuit of knowledge as we figured out just what made the fires flame up. Lots of critical thinking led to our eventual success and a reward of s’mores!
Thanks for coming out, Portage Central! We look forward to seeing you again this summer when the snow has left!
