King Westwood and Haverhill 5th Grade Extravaganza!

What a great week with King Westwood and Haverhill 5thgraders! Even with the always-moody Michigan weather, we found ourselves having tons of fun while learning all about character for the last week!
Words of Wisdom with King Westwood. Beautiful day!

From day 1, we saw King Westwood students step up to the plate and impress us with their ability to improve. We saw an increasing number of instances of honesty, caring, respect, and responsibility as time went on. Numerous campers helped out in the dining hall clean up, which ultimately led one to winning our HCRR award!

We also put the Underground Railroad into action with both schools to teach a little history about Harriet Tubman and other Freedom Fighters. Did you know a section of the Underground Railroad came right through this area? It’s good to know local history. We understand that the students will be studying about this topic a little later in the year!
The Aqua Climb got its first set of challengers with Haverhill. It’s much harder than it looks! The rest of the campers thoroughly enjoyed their pool party before saying farewell.

Winter Camp is coming up soon! We’ve set the dates for January 2nd and 3rd so mark your calendars and give the gift of camp this year!
