Marshall Middle School Shines at Sherman Lake

What a week! We love every group that comes out to camp, but we particularly enjoy the extended stays! Marshall was our first of the season and a particularly excellent group of campers.
I spent most of my time out at boating where we enjoyed some of the last beautiful weather of the season. Topher, our Aquatics Director extraordinaire, dropped a few fun buoys for the canoes to find out on the open waters. Even those of us hanging out on shore enjoyed goofy conversations on the road to new and better friendships!

The Giant’s Swing was particularly sought after as well. With a good amount of teamwork, we hoisted each other up about 30 feet into the air and watched with smiles as the campers flew through the air in the biggest swing of their lives! Inspired, a few teachers and staff even gave it a shot!
We all got to show off our creative side at tie-dye. Take a look at these most excellent creations!
Finally, we said farewell not only to our visiting campers, but also to our servant-hearted Americorps volunteers. They’ve spent the last 4 weeks being positive role models for over 500 kids this month alone! We wished them well on the last stretch of their project.
Thanks for coming out, Marshall! We know we’ll see you out at our other camps soon!
