Ai-Chi: Free to Members: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:45 - 9:20 am
The class is similar to Tai Chi. Class done shallow end of pool. Ai-Chi re-energizes and cleanses the mind, body, and spirit. The term Ai-Chi translates to English as "Love Energy". The pool lights are off and peaceful calming back ground music creates a sense of serenity. Relaxtion excercises include slow large flowing movements taught with continuous deep breathing. The slow fluid repetitive movement produces a relaxed physical and emotional state, improves muscle tone and increases flexibility and range of motion. The deep breathing increases blood circulation by sending more oxygen to all muscles and organs. The class will help relieve the body of tension, pain, and stress. It also reduces the symptoms of joint, muscular and connective tissue ailments.
